Compton, CA (December 17, 2008) – IPS Corporation is proud to be the first in the PVC / CPVC / ABS Klebstoff manufacturing industry to offer all of its WELD-ON products in environmentally-responsible, Low VOC (volatile organic compound) formulations. By the end of March 2009, all WELD-ON PVC / CPVC / ABS Klebstoffs, Primers and Reinigers will meet the most stringent VOC emission limits in the United States – Rule 1168/316A, established by California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD).

WELD-ON PVC / CPVC / ABS Klebstoffs, Primers and Reinigers are used to prepare and join PVC, CPVC, and ABS Rohr, valves and Anschlussstück (Verbindung)s in residential, commercial and industrial applications. Our Low VOC products – with lesser VOC emissions – will contribute to Reiniger air and better workplace conditions. California was the first state to recognize the benefits of Low VOC by enacting Rule 1168/316A over 15 years ago. And now, Connecticut, Maryland and New Jersey are adopting similar legislation effective Jan. 1, 2009 with other states likely to follow suit later in 2009 and beyond. Environmental rating systems like LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) also recognize the importance of Low VOC emissions by awarding credits for the use of Low VOC products. Given such growing interest by government and industry groups, IPS Corporation is pleased to be one of the first companies to play a key role in reducing VOC emissions to the environment.
