Collierville, TN. (March 23, 2010) – IPS Corporation’s new, patent-pending Test-Tite® Mechanical Cleanout Test Plug is designed to enable quick testing of plumbing drain, waste and vent (DWV) systems without tools, compressors, pumps, hoses or gauges. It can be tightened by hand in seconds.
The Mechanical Cleanout Test Plug is used to test pressure or temporarily block DWV systems for up to 40 vertical feet of Tubazione. It can be used in place of current standard pneumatic cleanout test plugs, and holds the test longer without the risk of leakage during testing. Its design features an expandable rubber gasket, compressed between two plastic plates, providing a positive air- and water-tight seal.
Additional features include a Trasparente cap that enables the user to monitor test media to ensure that drainage is complete prior to releasing the plug. A poppet valve on the top plate enables easy drainage. Made from nylon-reinforced plastic with plated-steel moving parts that resist corrosion, the Mechanical Cleanout Test Plug is durable. It is available to test two-, three- and four-inch Tubazione.
